We are moving to a farm. Well, we're trying to. We have the land, we have the cows and sheep and goats, but no home.

Have you ever built a house? Let me tell you, it's hard. Now I know why the two pigs wanted to do it quickly with straw and sticks. Building a house SUCKS!

I mean, they never talk about the Third Little Pig and how his shipment of bricks were delayed because the supplier lives in Nebraska and had record amounts of snow and rain. We never hear of the foundation for said bricks has to be laid, then cured, then wait 30 days to build on it. We were never told about how he had to skip out on family dinners to go cover the foundation with plastic so it wouldn't get standing water on it, how the cement trucks got stuck in mud and had to be towed out, or how the sheep kept escaping and causing havoc on the build site.

The Third Little Pig - I don't blame him for not wanting to let the other pigs in. He worked. And he worked HARD. It might've taken him 13 months to build that brick house. And dang it, he didn't have to share.

So, if you think about us, say a quick prayer that all goes smoothly as the frame gets put up, rain holds off, equipment works, and we can live out on the farm with our furry friends, um, I mean, animals (but yeah, I named them all...don't tell my husband).
